Marta Postula

Professor, Head of the Department of Finance and Accounting, Faculty of Management, University of Warsaw, Poland, Fiscal Rules in the Post-Pandemic Period

 

Marta Postula is Head of the Department of Finance and Accounting at the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, Poland. She also cooperates with the Kozminski University, and is a member of the Transformation, Integration and Globalisation Economic Research team. She is a practitioner dealing with public finances, including the research field. For 16 years, Ms. Postula worked in the Ministry of Finance, holding various managerial positions, such as in the Department of Public Finances Reform and the Department of Budget. Her research interests focus on public finance management instruments, particularly mid-term planning.

Ms. Postula authors and co-edits books on public finance and other research papers. Her latest book, published in 2022 by Routledge, Public Financial Management in the European Union Public Finance and Global Crises, refers to the effectiveness of European public finance management instruments. She participates in numerous national and foreign scientific conferences and seminars and is a former Polish representative in the Public Finance Quality Group at the European Commission. She was also a long-time Senior Budget Officials working group member at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.
