Edward Alpha 

Chief Administrator, Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Kambia District Council, Sierra Leone

Born in the Kono District in the Eastern part of Sierra Leone in 1978, Edward Alpha is the Current Chief Administrator of the Kambia District Council in the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development  in North-western  Sierra Leone.

He has many years of experience in administration, 15 of which are in the public sector. He sits on the boards many NGOs including Promotion of Reproductive Sexual Health and HIV/Aids Education and Knowledge for Community Empowerment Organization, etc.

Edward Alpha holds a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Environmental Sciences with Development Options from Njala University, Sierra Leone and he is currently a Masters student at the St. John York University, UK.

In 2019 he was awarded Honorary Doctor of Public Administration by the Commonwealth University/London Graduate School UK. Edward is also credited with many other post graduate courses in various professional disciplines including Administration, Procurement, and Planning, etc.
