Abdul Aziz, the current Auditor-General of the Supreme Audit Institution of Sierra Leone- Audit Service Sierra Leone, is a seasoned Management and Audit Professional who has strong passion for supporting institutions to improve on their operational efficiencies and maximum utilization of available resources that will impact the lives and livelihood of citizens.

He is an experienced auditor with over 30 years’ experience in conducting financial, compliance, performance and other specialized audit areas such as extractive industries, illicit financial flows, environmental and gender audits. He has expertly conducted audits that enhanced operational efficiencies and identified discrepancies in both government and local authorities. Under his leadership, the ASSL has consistently championed people-centered audits with a focus on service delivery by state entities.

Mr. Aziz is a holder of a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Economics Social Studies with honors in Accounting from the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone and Master of Science degree in Audit Management and Consultancy from the Birmingham City University, United Kingdom. Abdul Aziz has participated and as well facilitated a number of professional trainings both locally and internationally.

During the course of his career as an external audit expert, Mr. Aziz has collaborated with a number of external partners including theCommonwealth Auditors General's Office, African Auditors General, AFROSAI-E and ECOWAS Auditors-General.
