Tony Wang is the Partner of Williams Adley’s Information Technology Risk Management Practice Group. In this role, he leads the ITRM team in the performance of IT Security and IT Assurance services while training our team and building our IT brand. Tony is knowledgeable about National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards, ISO 270001, the General Data Protection Regulation, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) A-123, and other federal laws, regulations, policies, and frameworks. He also has extensive experience in leading Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM), Federal Information Security Modernization Act of 2014 (FISMA), and Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE)16/18 audits and agreed upon procedures for US civilian and DOD federal agencies. His clients have included agencies and organizations of various sizes and complexity such as Department of Defense, House of Representatives, Department of State, Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB), Peace Corps, and US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Tony holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in System Engineering from University of Maryland at College Park (UMCP), where he earned membership into the Eta Kappa Nu, the electrical and computer engineering honor society of the IEEE. Tony started his career as a Software Engineer with Lockheed Martin Corporation, where he was involved in both the Engineering Leadership Development Program and Business Leadership Development Program. After Lockheed Martin, Tony spent most of his career as a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young, LLP and then BDO USA, LLP. He joined the Williams Adley management team in March 2014. Tony is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), the Association of Government Accountants (AGA), the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC). Tony’s passion for creating high-performing, collaborative teams continues to this day as evident in his ability to train, develop, and inspire new leaders within the firm. Tony is as equally passionate about the every evolving world of Cybersecurity and its importance as a business risk for every organization. |
