Eng. Mahmoud Hashim Khliefat is a director general at the Government Tenders Department since 2018. Under his leadership the GTD received number of appreciation and recognition letters as well as achieved major results and milestones. Most significantly, in 2023, under his leadership as the Director-General, the Government Tenders Department – GTD achieved first place among public institutions and second place overall among participating government departments in the National Integrity Index, which included 105 ministries and institutions.

Prior to his current role, Eng. Mahmoud was the Director of the Public Works Department at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority. He also has international experience, having worked with Sigma Group for Engineering Consultation in Angola, where he supervised various petroleum projects for the Angolan National Petroleum Company.

Eng. Mahmoud is an active member of several professional societies and chairs multiple committees. He is fluent in Arabic, English, and Portuguese, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Jordan.
